Beginner courses are for people:

Beginner courses are for you if you have never driven before. They are taught in a way that suits your individual learning style.  

• Car controls 
• Setting off and stopping (with clutch control)
• Steering Left/Right turns 
• T-junctions 

York driving school aimse of mirrors (how and when) We’ll get you driving on your very first lesson! We aim to get you on the main roads after those first few hours are completed. Once you have a grasp of the basics, we’ll look at getting you on to the main roads and practicing different junctions. We will do traffic lights, roundabouts, crossroads, and lots of other types of roads like rural roads, dual carriageways, and other national speed limit roads. You will learn how to plan ahead and have awareness in certain on-road situations by working on giving way/positioning and working out who has priority. We aim to give you the skills you need for life, not just for your test. Once you are at the stage of booking your driving test, we will look to do mock/practice tests to get you ready with the best preparation. If you feel confident and would like to just take an intensive course then talk to us about it and we will advise you. It is York driving school’s aim to get you to PASS FIRST TIME!
